Part of the Greater Greener Convention, this tour is an overview of three distinct public art and placemaking programs overseen by Denver Arts & Venues (Denver’s arts agency).

Permanent public art is commissioned through the city’s 1% for Public Art Program with a collection of more than 400 artworks throughout Denver.;

Denver Arts & Venues also oversees the graffiti prevention and youth development program, the Urban Arts Fund (UAF). Since 2009, the UAF has helped abate more than 450,000 square feet of vandalized walls with nearly 300 stunning murals.

The newest program, P.S. You Are Here, uses a model of community-driven temporary placemaking projects that transform outdoor spaces, foster collaboration, honor heritage, build civic engagement, and inspire long-term change.

Join us to see how Denver values art, culture, and creativity in its public spaces.

Note: Participants are strongly encouraged to have acclimated to altitude for at least 24 hours. Sunscreen, water bottle, and sunglasses are recommended.
