On Wednesday, July 25, YOUTH ON RECORD will celebrate the completion of Cohort II of it's Fellowship Program. Each year, Youth on Record leads 10-15 fellows through a 10-month intensive fellowship program, where they learn skills and strategies for developing their creative careers. Fellows are 18-23 years old; some are inspiring artists looking to break into artistic scenes, and some are already experienced arts and music professionals who are working to take their careers to a regional or national level. All Fellows completing this program are competing for awards between $500 and $2000 to put towards their creative goals and career development. Youth on Record's Fellowship Program is coordinated by Molina Speaks, and was recently recognized with a Westword Best of Denver 2018 award for Best Place to Find the Future of the Music Business. This program is also the recipient of a 2018-19 Arts in Society Award, for its role in addressing race and class inequities in the creative industries.

The McNichols Civic Center Building will host Youth on Record for an evening of arts and music celebration. A panel will kick off the event at 4 p.m., with Fellows sharing their experiences in professional growth, and their personal and community artistic goals. Youth on Record fellowship artists will then lead creative workshops for Denver teens, followed by a pizza dinner with the Fellows. Live music performances follow at 6:30 p.m..
