Biennial of the Americas Clínica #4 - Turning Off The Ignition: Mobility and Access Equity

McNichols Building

09/25/2019 · 2:00PM

Transportation equity is one of the most complicated issues faced by city-planners and policy-makers today.

In the United States, many large cities are reaching peak automobile saturation points, with limited ability to build our way out of our traffic problems. Transportation leaders from across the Americas--where megacities have grappled with these problems for decades--are catalyzing strategies focused on equity and mobility with solutions ranging from gondolas to escalators.

Hear from leaders in academia, activism and policy discuss how they are catalyzing mobility and access solutions rooted in equity, by broadening the conversation on transportation and focusing on human-centered solutions.
