7 p.m. – A Conversation on Climate Change with James Balog and Jim White, $10
McNichols Civic Center Building

Award-winning photographer James Balog and Jim White, Professor of Geological Sciences at The University of Colorado, discuss the effects of global climate change, the impact on life in Colorado, and how local communities can become more resilient and climate-smart in developing green solutions. James Balog's Chasing Ice photography exhibit will be on display.

Preceding the lecture will be an intimate reception with James Balog and Jim White in the McNichols Community Gallery. Work from local artists will highlight issues of climate justice through the lens of Denver's Westwood neighborhood. Join community leaders and climate advocates to discuss how climate change is being addressed at the city and neighborhood level and what you can do to help. Proceeds from the reception will support The Trust for Public Land's Climate-Smart Cities program.
