McNichols Building

08/04/2019 · 3:00PM

Translating the Building gives you the chance to discuss Denver's rapidly growing environment by looking at architecture in new and innovative ways. How do we incorporate walkability and transportation, affordability and accessibility, sustainability and spirit of community into new construction?

Join community leaders Jill Locantore (Executive Director, WalkDenver), Donald Burnes (Founder and Advisor of the The Burnes Center on Poverty and Homelessness), and Cortney Lane Stell (Executive Director and Chief Curator of Black Cube) as they share ideas and visions that bring Denver’s built environment “out of the box” and into the future.

Exhibiting architects include:
Rick Sommerfeld, Jaime Rivera, Tony Gonzalez, Germane Barnes, Jimenez Lai, BairBalliet (Kelly Bair / Kristy Balliet), Kevin Hirth, Jordan Gravely and students from CU Denver’s architecture program

Panel discussion: 3-4:30 p.m.
Reception: 4:30-5:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments provided by Colorado Cider Company. Please RSVP at Eventbrite.
