Final Dance Performance: Breaking Barriers

Breaking Barriers returns this August with a new experience for the Denver art and dance community. Immerse yourself in this three-day festival of professional development and movement workshops, culminating in an interactive performance. Take class with choreographers Dana Wilson (Seaweed Sisters/LA Credits: Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke) and Kim Holmes (Universal Dance Movement/NYC Credits: Jay-Z, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot). The weekend will complete with a performance featuring local dancers from the street and classical communities, as well as the premiere of an original dance piece created on six Denver artists under the direction of Dana and Kim.

Final Performance, 7-9 p.m.
The first part of this performance will be interactive and feature local artists from the street and classical dance backgrounds, collaborating and creating original movement on the spot. The performance will close with the premiere of an original dance piece created under the direction of headlining artists Kim and Dana.
