The Music On Film–Film On Music Documentary Fund (MOFFOM) is a grant program established by the Denver Film Society with the generous support of John Caulkins. MOFFOM funds documentary filmmakers facing production expenses related to music licensing, scoring, and composition. Last year, the grant’s first, we funded three films, two of which are screening in this year’s festival: Bathtubs Over Broadway and Call Her Ganda. This year we have funded three new projects: Crip Camp, Kids Can Spit, and Sound of Silence. Join the filmmakers behind these projects, along with our grant reviewers—Caryn Capotosto, Joel C. High, Shawn King, Alexandra Patsavas, Dava Whisenant, and Ray Yee—in a discussion about making the most of music in a documentary film.
